THE FOOD SHOW – JULY 2, 2024

Written by on July 2, 2024

Tom Fitzmorris has been covering the food scene in New Orleans for nearly 50 years. Starting out at the Driftwood newspaper at UNO, his first dining column ran in 1972, and it reviewed The Flambeau Room, operated by Peter Sclafani.  Tom’s health prevents him from continuing to host The Food Show, his wife and broadcast partner, Mary Ann, has picked up the mic to continue the tradition.

Mary Ann talks about where they have been eating, and reports from Tom’s vast library of writings about food.

Visit their website nomenu.com and Instagram page,@theneworleansmenu. Tom has written a number of books, most notably Tom Fitzmorris’s New Orleans Food, Hungry Town, and The Lost Restaurants of New Orleans, though The Eat Book, celebrating 30 years of publication, remains a personal favorite.
